I’m sure all the dog lovers out there have heard of “Crufts” which is the largest dog show of its kind in the world and held annually at the NEC in Birmingham.
What a lot of people don’t know is that Zarr are the team who developed a lot of the IT systems used in the run-up to the event (allowing people to enter, generating catalogues, judging books etc) as well as technology for the day (the system to allow stewards to enter results in the judging rings and be available immediately online, generating passes to be scanned on the doors etc).
We developed this technology for FosseData who are the UK’s leading organiser of dog shows and they work closely with the Kennel Club to ensure that Crufts runs smoothly.
This year we put several advancements in place to further use technology including dashboards for the Kennel Club to see at a glance how the judging of over 18,000 dogs were progressing over the four-day show.
Similarly to last year’s Crufts, the system didn’t have any issues and the cloud based system performed seamlessly and thousands of people loved the fact that results were showing in real time and despite the high traffic volumes of people visiting the website, it all ran smoothly.
Zarr has been developing websites and web solutions since the early 2000’s and whether you are a small or large business or attracting tens of thousands of visitors per day to your website then Zarr can help you move your business to the next level – as we have done for Crufts!
